About

Hi, I’m Jeremy, the photographer behind Tempest & Glass.

I’m a hobbyist photographer driven by a simple idea: authentic moments matter more than perfection. In a time when images are often over-processed, filtered, or AI-generated, my goal is to capture people and moments as they truly are — honest, expressive, and unforced. Tempest & Glass is a personal photography project rooted in contrast — the raw and the refined, the fleeting and the lasting.

Based in Harford County, Maryland, I started this project out of a genuine love for visual storytelling and capturing moments that feel real and lasting. Photography, for me, is less about perfection and more about presence — being attentive to light, emotion, and the energy of a moment as it unfolds.

My approach is intentionally simple and grounded. I work primarily with natural light, minimal intervention, and very limited editing. I don’t heavily edit or reshape images, and I don’t believe every photo needs to be “perfect” to be meaningful. What I deliver reflects what was actually there — the energy, personality, and atmosphere of the moment. I focus on creating images that feel honest, expressive, and true to the subject.

Tempest & Glass is intentionally small-scale and personal. This project exists as a creative outlet and portfolio rather than a commercial service. I occasionally offer free portrait sessions — particularly at conventions and events — as a way to document moments as they exist. Sessions are relaxed, collaborative, and expectation-light, with no pressure to perform or pose unnaturally. The goal is to create images that feel genuine rather than staged, allowing personality, craft, and atmosphere to speak for themselves — ideal for cosplayers, creatives, and anyone who values authenticity.

If you’re looking for polished, heavily retouched imagery, this likely isn’t the right fit — and that’s okay. Tempest & Glass is for those who value authenticity, individuality, and moments preserved without distortion.

This space exists to celebrate individuality, craft, and imperfection — where chaos meets clarity.
